Vehicle from cold, accelerate past 3500 rpm then a large jump to 2000 rpm with intermittent flashing gear cog light with (!) in centre on instruments & no acceleration past that point until pull over key off restart & power is returned? It will also do the same symptoms with vehicle standing & free revving.

When vehicle reaches operating temperature symptoms disappear & vehicle runs normally?

Fault code of P0341 Camshaft sensor A circuit range performance????

Good signal & output from the cam sensor harness plug, no drop outs good 5 volt ref. & good ground.

Have changed out the camshaft sensor with genuine Ford item as they not to expensive.

I would say symptoms are better & will now free rev normally with vehicle standing. But now on lesser occasion will still lose performance when driving from cold.

No signs of noise or tapping from timing area! Vehicle runs smooth!
