Skoda Yeti 2.0 S TDI 2010 - Inlet manifold holes #

Year of Manufacture: 2010
Engine Size and Code: 2.0 S TDI CFHF

Anyone seen anything like this before - the inlet manifold has various small holes that look like they have "melted" through from the inside out !

Hello Dave,
If it's anything like the BMW's it looks like an egr fault

If you have a good honest Skoda dealer they may fess up just like a BMW agent did with me

Big problem for BMW but being kept quiet by the manufacturer

the parts were also on a long back order and only available to the franchised dealers

The egr valve is made in Korea, so much for German quality

O forgot to say I bolted the BMW back together and BMW eventually fixed it under warranty even though it was out of warranty

Hi Ian,
Thanks for your reply, yep, apparently BMW suffering from EGR cooler's leaking coolant into EGR and mixing with oil, creating a "combustible" mixture and burning holes in inlet manifold.
Coolant level is low on this vehicle, so looks like a possiblity.
