Hi AK07JWE - V70 D SE (MK2 FL) full detail below looking for some info on this if possible, car broke down AA called fuel leaking from plastic fuel filter, O ring visible, AA dismantled, refitted o ring and on starting it popped the filter cap off. Driver reports filter not been disturbed / changed recently.
Looking at the failed housing it has failed at its weak point, ie bottom of pitch on plastic male thread. The question is has it failed because housing has previously been ovetighted and weakened the plastic or is the pump pressure to high !
So can any one give me specific info on this ( auto data vague but appears system changed a few times) Working pressure would be good, along with method of pressure control ( pressure relief valve in tank ?) AD hints that some systems had a pump control module do these control (if fitted) system max pressure ?
So far I have teed a gauge in and it running around 70 psi at filter, (sounds plausible to me) and monitored current which read 8 amps on start and dropped to 6 after a few seconds which again seemed OK generically.

Hi Peter
Thanks for that, software update is interesting! wonder if that relates to ECU controlling pressure via pump ECU rather than mechanical relief valve.
