We cleared the codes but the fault was still displayed on the dash, Live data was all within spec and nothing seemingly at fault. We tried to carry out an SCR metering test and the pump didn't actuate. wiring was checked all ok so we replaced the pump. carried out a battery reset and now the pump actuates on SCR metering test. However, the fault is still live on the dash. We have also driven it 40+ miles since as the car can take this long to register. ---------------------------------------- So... Weve spoken to RMI technical and they have given us some pretty good info relating to P204F00 (or 28653 as above) as there are similar stories relating to reductant agent system error without event entry, it gives measured values to check - namely SCR inducement DFCC figure at 28.653 - which we have! this figure will bring a fault message on the dash and it gives the following procedure to clear:
'select own check' > drive > engine - additive and subsystems > 01-self diagnosis systems > AC - control unit for reducing agent dosing system J880 > AC - subsystem conditions > effectivness of reducing agent system > 'attach to test plan'
You then precisely complete the test plan to reset the message in the instgrument cluster.
Now the questions are... has anyone had any previous experience with a similar fault and had any joy clearing it? if so, how? (besides any reset/adapt functions in both engine and reductant system ecu as weve been there) does anybody know what program the instructions above are for? (odis?)
Had the latest software up date and pump configuration carried out on Odis by Clive from Airbagman (mobile co. with guys across the country who have dealer kit for every car) Message still displayed, customer was willing to take car to travel approx. 60 miles. During the journey the message vanished. We already knew about driving for 40 miles which we had already done. Perhaps in this instance it needed more than 1 drive cycle.
