Citroen C4 Picasso 1.6 9HZ 2008 - ABS ESP fault - Electronic handbrake non function? #

Year of Manufacture: 2008
Engine Size and Code: 1.6 Diesel - 9HZ
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Verus Edge

Intermittent ABS ESP / Service fault light & electronic handbrake fault message & non function after approx. 4 miles run???

Cycle the key & restart engine & fault disappears??

No fault codes present in Electronic handbrake ECM?

U1208 No communication with engine ECM value received incorrect? fault code in ABS ESP ECM??

Several EGR valve fault codes in engine ECM? Vehicle runs fine & no engine management faults ever appear on instrumentation??

Don't see how EGR faults codes could influence a No communication fault in ABS ESP ECM??

Please note......
Vehicle has recently had a new alternator & battery & a new EGR valve

SO..........

Where do we go from here?????

Hi Pete

Have a look at wiring loom by bulkhead above and behind battery, may find broken wires in loom.

I agree with peter look for a tiny corroded blue wire in loom behind battery water gets in there first one of these took us ages to find. the wire supplies feed to abs unit

Replace newly fitted EGR for a O.E fitment

Faults have not returned!!!!????!!!!

Make of the one removed is a "Volt" UUUUUGGGGHHHHH!

Any thoughts?

Hi

This has similartes with Nissan C1130 / 1132 fault codes so think it quite possible

Quite normal for advanced functions of ESB and park brake to be limited with engine fault detected, but if that is the case the fault description could be better.

Did you fix this, got one in today with exactly same faults

I wondering if it is the same vehicle
