Mercedes Benz A200 2.2 CDI 2014 - ESM switch non operative, lack of power - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture: 2014
Engine Size and Code: 2.2 CDI
( Optional ) Scanner Used: MODUS ULTRA/ LAUNCH 431V PRO
( Optional) Fault Codes: P023714

ESM switch non operative and MIL on. Lack of power and stays in auto drive not allowing change to sport or manual. Tried a second boost sensor and no difference. Boost sensor fits into air box top! Strange place for it but cant find any other.
Any help much appreciated

Hi
Not familiar with this model but MB normally have boost sensor mounted on the manifold.

Have you disconnected the sensor on air box to see what codes it gives

Thanks for response.
New code P010714 intake manifold pressure sensor has a short circuit to ground or an open circuit.

I still think you are looking at the wrong sensor, cant see how 'boost' sensor can be before turbo ( as i read you say it from your post)

ring your tech data supplier and ask them for location.

Definitely check and smoke plastic inlet manifold as these do leak between the two mouldings, been there done it

Tee shirt to prove it and all that

FIXED.
Turbo boost sensor on plastic inlet manifold at front. Wrong sensor location due to numbers on replacement sensor being comparable with filter box sensor numbers.
