Audi A11.6 TDi CAYC 2013 - Limp mode and now non start, codes P0642, P0408, P0340 & P15A200 #

Year of Manufacture *: 2013
Engine Size and Code *: 1600 TDI. CAYC
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Snap on
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0642 p0408 p0340 P15A200

Hi folks. As above. Struggled to start and limp home. Now non start. Not tested anything yet. My question is the last code. P15a200. Natural sensor short to ground. I have no idea what this is. Help.

Hi Les, P15A200 is neutral position switch not natural. Probably used for stop/start etc. You have reference voltage, cam sensor, neutral position switch and egr fault codes. Try disconnecting each one whilst monitoring reference voltage in live data and see if it returns to the correct value. Or use a multi-meter or oscilloscope to monitor the actual voltage.

Hi. Checked cam sensor while in limp mode with scope and good. Stopped engine to test other sensors and when restarted was running fine. Took on road test with equipment connected on graph mode and did not miss a beat. For the 4 codes to all come on at the same time I am leaning towards a wiring fault rather than a component fault. Customer taken car away and for the last week has had no fault. The fault will surely came back and when it does I will get back to you
