Skoda Octavia 1.9 2008 - New clutch fitted, now hard starting - Fixed #

Engine Size and Code *: 1.9
( Optional ) Scanner Used: bosch kts 570
( Optional) Fault Codes: p0341

Hi

Bit of a strange one car just had clutch last week and seems to be since that it has got hard starting.it comes up with a code for timing which is cam signal improbable. wants it starts it runs great. was just wondering if anyone had a good cam crank sync wave form.

What is the engine code ? ?

hi kevin it was the garage I work in and as I said it has only been since the clutch was done but the conversion was a wile ago. bkp is the engine code

At last years autoinform, I got chatting to a guy from LUK, he said VAG had issues with a poor gearbox earth causing DMF issues.

Probably not connected, but worth a thought.

Hi guys sorry for long wait been very busy. Now the fix to the problem was adjusting the cam pick up timing not the actual cam timing. Now nothing at all was touched timing end only a new clutch onto a solid flywheel conversion. Now I have heard of these twisting the crank shafts due to the crank being lighter but I have never seen it. But it puts that theory into practice because the engine timeing wasn't out mechanically because all the timing pins located. The crank pick up is flywheel end and the cam timing end so one pickup had to be out which it was the crank end. When phoning valio technical about the issue the guy tried talking uter rubbish to me but I had all the data to prove my theory. Now I have just had the new issue of aftermarket come threw which goes threw dmf issue and why to keep it as a dmf and not conversion kits.
