BMW X3 2.0 2005 - Lack of power, code 0351 rail pressure control valve - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2005
Engine Size and Code *: 2.0ltr diesel
( Optional ) Scanner Used: spi
( Optional) Fault Codes: 0351 rail pressure control valve

hi all
Have this bmw x3 in at the moment, with lack of power and fault code. (0351 rail pressure control valve).
I believe this valve is on the high pressure pump, But where is the high pressure pump located. Only doing this as it belongs to a family member, Look forward to your replies.

Ps This code will not clear and returns just with ign on.

If I remember correctly, it's under the inlet manifold at the rear of the engine (passenger side).

This X3 has the earlier M47 diesel engine, HP pump at the front n/s, Fuel control valve (IMV) fitted at rear of pump AND rail pressure regulating valve fitted at rear end of rail.

Fixed
After removing the inlet manifold, I could see the high pressure pump was at the n/s front as ed said.
But it was damaged wiring at the rear end of the rail sensor, New wiring soldered in to the rear sensor, rebuilt cleared codes and power is restored. Thanks to all who helped.
