Need a bit of help with this one, got towed to us non runner. we've scanned it no codes stored.

It runs for a second then cuts out there is a good flow of diesel into the pump at the back of the timing belt. How ever the steel pipe going towards the fuel rail has very little pressure and at the injectors its low pressure. it just trickles out diesel.

Am i right in thinking there should be high pressure here ( at the steel pipe??)

I dont do a great deal of diesel cars so any help dircetions would be appreciated.

look at the fuel rail pressure data PID on your scan tool, you should have around 200 to 300 bar cranking.

if not then you have a supply problem, or a pump problem, or more likely a injector problem,

work out what system you have and then start testing, cracking injector pipes and looking for pressure is a waste of time, use your scan tool and follow a set diagnostic path,

or send it to a diesel specialist
