Vauxhall Corsa D 1.3 CDTi Z13DTH - Codes P1602-45, P1602-4D (non start) #

Engine Size and Code *: 1.3cdti z13dth

Hi all

Hope somebody on here may be able to help. Vehicle came in as non start no communication to engine ecm diagnosed faulty control unit, water damaged. Replaced ecm with new unit and reprogrammed using bosch kts pass thru for the flash files which downloaded fine. I then used vauxcom to match the other ecm's and perform the coding on the engine ecm. Vehicle started and runs fine but the only problem is that there was 2 fault codes that wont clear.
P1602-45 variant configuration not programmed
P1602-4D control unit programming error
Tried using dec ss on the variant programming and there was another option but cant remember, that has cleared the P1602-45 but the P1602-4D still remains and wont clear. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Check injector learning/coding
Something hasn't been programmed

Hi Chris
Thanks for reply checked the injector coding and there fine does the ecu have to learn the codes on a road test. Ive been on a 5 to 6 mile road test.

Road test won't fix anything

Have you been through all the programming options, you will need to set everything that's there, even injector codes, i think it's called "small quantity learning".

Might be better with tech 2

This code is normally set when using vauxcom. If you use Tech 2 it does things correctly but with Vauxcom it leaves some of the processes out. From memory you will have to reset & re-program all the immobiliser related control units or get someone with Tech 2 to program it.

Hi Chris and Steve.

Thanks for replies yes I have reprogrammed all the immobiliser related control units on the vehicle. Steve are you saying I have to do it again?

Jamie. It might be worth a try. I am sure there has been some other threads regarding this problem.
