VW GOLF 1.6 Diesel CAYC 2010 - Engine cuts out #

Year of Manufacture *: 2010
Engine Size and Code *: 1.6 Diesel CAYC
( Optional) Fault Codes: None

Cold starts ok. Drive down the road, slow down/pull up for junction (foot on clutch and brake) engine cuts out dead. Restarts fine, even bumps ok if still rolling. No fault codes.
EGR valve was faulty, valve stuck, diaphragm leaking and roller bearing broken. New VW part fitted. Also new fuel filter fitted. Throttle body removed, cleaned and refitted.
Fault is still exactly the same.
Any ideas???

A CAYC engine code Golf needs a Software update if its had an EGR replaced.
Don't know if that will cure your fault but its the next step.

Just done a software update for another workshop to cure this issue on a CAYC 2011 Golf.

Are the clutch and brake pedal switches both working on live data?
