Any that takes ADblue #

Engine Size and Code *: whatever
( Optional ) ECU Type: whatever
( Optional ) Scanner Used: whatever
( Optional) Fault Codes: whatever

Got Renault HGV main dealer 5 miles down the road, we share Diag platforms, he has AL, I have everything else,this one goes beyond Diags,

Brand new Renault Tractor unit, delivery driver fills up coolant tank with ADblue, takes it onto route to deliver, starts to overheat, ADblue has corroded the whole cooling system into a molten mess, £ 35000 is likely final cost of repair, no warranty obviously, bugger !!!!!

How the hell did he manage that ??? At the least a serious lack of training on his new vehicle.

I have heard of a few cases of Add blue in diesel tank, but never cooling.

Any possibility of an insurance claim

Yes,

35K, full engine strip, corrosion by ADblue affected everything in cooling circuit

, no, Aiden , company having to pay, dont think that driver is with them now

I know this ADblue fluid crystallises and turns to a form of dust when spilt on a concrete floor and dries out, but had no idea of its sooper dooper corrosion properties

I knew I had read up on the Toxic health and safety side of handling this fluid a while ago, and have just had a quick re-read and it does mention it is corrosive to many metals .

But (yes) WOW....

Have heard different stories about H.G.Vs mainly, guy stored it in his cabin and it got knocked over split and leaked into the wiring harness, corroded and the capillary action creeped down the wiring loom and scraped the whole harness, nasty stuff,
