We have a 2009 Audi A3 with just under 62000 miles on it. Original genuine DPF fitted.

It originally had DPF, EML & Glow plug light on with lack of power.

We carried out regen all lights out with no problems.

2 weeks later problem back.

Removed DPF & sent away for ultrasonic cleaning, fitted new pressure sensor, carried out regen & told computer new DPF & sensor fitted.

Checked live data all looking good; Filter Ash content 0g. Diesel Particulate Filter Charge 10.7% No live data for Exhaust pressure but I did check voltage at sensor to work out back pressure ( which I believe the formula is MV when running - reference MV divide by 4 = pressure in mb) Using this formula I had less that 50mb of pressure.

1 week later DPF light back on.(no other lights & power ok) We collected car from customer light was on but went out during drive back.

Now I understand that the light is on because it needs to regenerate and went out when it had regenerated but it should not be coming on so frequently.

No codes held & data still looking good.

I've had a bit of a dig around on the net and it does seems this is a common story.

Has anyone come across this & fixed it or am I missing something simple?
