Morning all,
This came as a non runner. Codes for Inj circuit 1 and 2, DF99 and DF100. No activity on the Inj circuits. I checked all supplies and ground as well as all inputs. All ok. Ohmed and load tested inj wiring, ok. I opened the ECU and found a diode burned. Replaced the diode and all was ok. Started, ran well in the workshop. 60 seconds into the test drive it cut out. Exactly the same again, same damage in the ECU. I canīt see anything wrong with the wiring. Tests ok for shorts. Alternator output was tested and was ok.
Two questions please. Is this a common problem and if so does anyone know the usual cause? On this model, what are the usual loom trouble spots?

I wonder if the injector is drawing too much current, it might be worth checking the resistance of the injector on the 2 terminals and also from the terminal to the injector body, then compare to a known good injector.
This was an interesting one. The fault was injector wiring intermittently shorted. The first time I looked I missed the damage. I actually burned the ECU twice while testing so I had to repair it four times in total.
