Landrover Discover 4 3.0 V6 2011 - Restricted performance, Codes P00BD, P0235, P006A - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2011
Engine Size and Code *: 3000 v6
( Optional ) Scanner Used: snap on solus

Have a disco 4 that has a fault that will clear on its own, It is very intermittent, but needs sorting.

It shows on the display restricted performance and the accompanying codes.

P00BD Mass or volume air flow circuit range/performance air flow too high.

P0235 Turbo charger/supercharger boost sensor A circuit

P006A Manifold absolute pressure - mass or volume air flow correlation

P0528 Fan speed sensor circuit No signal.

When it goes in to restricted performance, it sounds like an air hose is split, smoked it and no leakage.

Have renewed both air flow sensors with oem ones, vehicle has been ok for a month.

I'm thinking CSOV (compressor shut off valve) any idea how to test and prove this item is faulty.

Maybe worth retesting inlet manifolds with smoke/pressure tester.

We have found one with a split seam causing air leak under full load. On Disco4 with the same engine.

Real pain to fit 9 hours labour.

Hi Steve

Your first 3 fault codes are for the csov , mityvac to test, if it doesn't move but holds vac, give it a tap with a screwdriver and you'll probably find it starts to move.We have also seen split vac hoses and diaphragms. The vac unit is available separately and the part number is c2d23020 and costs about £50.00. easy to fit.

You tend to also find when the CSOV fails that the intake pipe blows back on the O/S bank. Have found before wear in the arm that the vac unit joins on to. The arm is only bolted on to the butterfly shaft so you can remove it and repair which usually returns full and free movement.

Put a complete new unit on at customers request, not had any issues since.
