Hi fellow tech Need help with a vauxhall insignia 2010 2.0L diesel mileage 102323 came in with customer reporting vehicle going into limp mode .Scanned vehicle and it posted codes P039D,P0399,P03AD,P03B7 and P03A3 all relate to cylinder pressure erratic done a little digger and found a post saying the vehicle needed a software update booked in with the local vauxhall agent and had the update done FOC due to the recall picked the vehicle up and after 1/4 of a mile fault returned with the same codes vauxhall recommend replacing all glow plug at a cost of £300 + vat but i donot want to replace until I know that i have tested them and they are faulty , Has anyone seen this problem before and is there any test procedures for these pressure sensor

I have seen these before with cylinder pressure faults and never caused loss of power. When does it go in Limp, during steady driving or when it's put under load?
The cylinder pressures can be seen in live data, have you had a look?

Some time it dosnt go in limp or even bring the mil light on and it under normal driving condition if you have any document ation on this my email is simon@hilseamot.com

These are common for the boost hose splitting on the nearside, give the inlet a smoke test.

Some times though the lack of pressure in the smoke will not show the split on these hoses. You need to remove the hoses and blank the ends, then put them under pressure.

Had just the same fault it was a faulty glow plug as they have cylinder pressure sensors built into them and are about £80 each!!!
