Ford Ranger 2.5 E3 2004 - White smoke, code P1312 fuel timing control valve fault - Fixed #
Posted by Andy Stephenson on February 25, 2015, 3:40 pm Looking for a little advice on this one before I remove the fuel pump & send for test/repair. I have a 2004 ford ranger which white smokes a little on cold start up & has poor performance when put under load. Scanned with Launch pro which returned P1312 - timing control valve circuit malfunction, I have very little info (wiring diagrams etc) available to me on this with it been based on the mazda b series as I understand. Has anyone dealt with similar symptoms & codes on one of these that can offer any input ??? Thanks chaps
