Hi all
This car arrived with the temp gauge in the red and limp mode. Lots of codes relateing to iat, maf and ect.
I fitted a new maf, all faults cleared and all good.
I noticed that if the connector is removed from the maf the engine temp gauge goes to the red and in to limp mode. The iat and ect both have seperate ecu grounds and when the connector is removed from the maf both these grounds are lost or switched off.
I load tested the wiring back to the ecu from the maf and ect and also the three ecu grounds, all good.
I'm curious about this and wondering if anyone can tell me is it a feature or do I actually have a fault.
Important to also mention this car has a colourful history, the ecu and bsi were changed (not by me) due to the engine being power washed.
