Year of Manufacture *: 2007/8 Engine Size and Code *: 2.0cc 1AD-FTV ( Optional ) Scanner Used: Autocom ( Optional) Fault Codes: None
Hi Gents,
Have this Toyo when trying to start from cold it instantly fires up then dies out, if you keep cranking it doesn't fire at all, the moment you switch off and retry it fires up and stalls. Eventually it will start after around 6 tries, and there's no problem when the engines hot, drives perfectly no fault codes. Suspected EGR so stripped it off and found it to be OK just needed a clean but not stuck open, scoped rail pressure sensor to check fuel pressure development which looked good but noticed fuel pressure sensor no pressure voltage was 1v is this right? Cracked a injector pipe just to make sure no pressure present but still 1V, checked ref voltage and ground on the sensor and both OK, also checked glow plug amps draw OK. Thanks for looking gents. Mark
Sounds interesting, Thanks Alan, will report on our findings.

Replaced SCV and the problem has been rectified, it is a modification so must be a fairly common problem, thanks again Alan.
