Year of Manufacture *: 2008
Engine Size and Code *: 2000 CBAB
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0016 Crankshaft Position | Camshaft Position Cor

hi we have code p0016. (or 000022 on vagcom) Indicates Cam/Crank timing issue. We have rebuilt head, and used correct timing tools to rebuild. It drives ok, but flashes up this fault. Does anyone have a known good PICO crank/cam pattern for this engine type. many thanks

Are you sure? The two different tools will definitely fit both crank sprockets. I just have the one old type with two marks on it.
I did a CBAB a few days ago and at the time I thought it was aligned with the mark for the older engines. I can tell which mark is which but I forgot to have a look after I removed it so I could be wrong. You will find the internet plastered with posts about engines that wont run after major work and the end result is always the same. Something has been put back together wrongly.

Ok solved. Re timed it again and with tools again. was fraction out. tested ok. thanks for advice
