VW Passat BKP 2008 - Bad starting #

Year of Manufacture *: 2008
Engine Size and Code *: 1968cc E/codeBKP
( Optional ) Scanner Used: VAG com
( Optional) Fault Codes: none

Hi all
Car has done 128,000miles, full service history,
No codes on engine, hard to start in the morning just turns over & over then starts with a lot of black smoke then will be good all day, heater plugs all working.

Have you had a pressure tester on tandem pump or is this the one with common rail ?

BKP is a PD engine so 128,000 check compression.?

camshaft worn?. CTS reading.?. EGR sticking open.?

And pump pressure.

Your going to have to do some testing first.
