BMW X5 2.7D 2002 - Do injectors need coding? #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
Engine Size and Code *: 2.7 D

Non start at local garage, they have changed injectors, do they need coding?

If two or more have been replaced then yes.
But i,m sure it should start with-out injector map adjustment.

I believe they have whats known as smooth run adaptation which automatically help it learn the new injector values. I have had injectors reconditioned on these and had a big headache with one injector after recon. I tried everything but it still misfired and smoked. Ended up sending the injector back to get them to re-check it and it was fine(according to them) after refitting the injector it purred like a kitted again.
