Vauxhall Astra 1.7 DTi 2002 - Non start, code P0251 - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
Engine Size and Code *: 1.7 dti
( Optional ) Scanner Used: superscan
( Optional) Fault Codes: p0251

hi everyone this is my own car which refuced to start this morning. the engine cranks well at about 250rpm the only fault code in the system is p0251 spill valve fault inj. pump fault. a crack at the injector showed no fuel. in live data it shows the spill valve relay is active when cranked all the fuses are good and there is fuel in the fuel filter. does anyone know what else i can check before i condemn the injection pump ecu which was replaced with an actronics unit 6 months ago?

EDU on the back of the pump , propably this is waht you need. Possible to re-solder the joints.

On the face of it I'm with Piotr.

Either its under warranty and if so look out the invoice, or remove the back and check the solder joints.

this one is fixed now actronics replaced inj. pump ecu under warranty it was 7 months old and did about 3.000 miles. now i am left wondering how long will this one last

it was a actronics fitted a few months ago by the previous owner fortunately the receipt was with the rest of the service history papers i took it to them they tested it and said it's faulty and gave me another. the car now runs well but who knows for how long. i plan to buy a used one and have it in the car for just in case
