Ford Transit 2.4 - Poor starting and hunting #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007
Engine Size and Code *: 2.4
( Optional ) Scanner Used: verus/pico
( Optional) Fault Codes: no codes

Hi

This transit came in with bad starting and hunting carried out leak off test on injectors found 2 faulty and replaced. Made no difference after running for for ten min ran perfect switch ignition off start up runs crap again has anyone got a waveform for cam/crank i can compare this one too.i have no fault codes when running rough the only thing i can find wrong with it is the fluctuation on the fuel rail pressure between 260 bar-390 bar at tick over when it runs as it should no fluctuate 290 bar steady have changed the pressure relief valve and pressure regulator valve now banging my head against a wall any help much appreciated

Hi Simon,
The injectors need programming also the pressure reg and valve need to be learned with ids. If you have done this then it sounds like you have air in fuel(try running your on supply).
Also these are prone to egr valve failing, also dual mass flywheel ( does it alter when clutch pressed down?

After replacing the pressure regulator and relief valve, Shouldn't this also have a software update to help rectify this problem and then carry out pump relearn, injector relearn and reset counters etc. ???

already tried running on seperate fuel system,cant perform a relearn on pump due to unstable idle keeps kicking out and all injector have been reprogramed,

There is one in the autoscope section, that,s for a JXFA code engine, you have not posted your engine code.

Have you checked for an updated calibration file ?

Genuine injectors ?

Any air bubbles in the system?

I would get a software up date done,
Its a common enough fault on these,
