Mini One 1.4 2005 - Poor starting when hot - Fixed #

Engine Size and Code *: 1400
( Optional ) Scanner Used: VERUS
( Optional) Fault Codes: NONE

Hi

Had this mini turn up today customer complaining of bad starting when hot. After test drive got back to garage switch off then starts fine left for 10 min doesn't want to start eventually starts but for first few second no throttle checked battery voltage when cranking it was about 11.5volts after a few second battery voltage jump up to 13volts and revs ok. have put booster on the battery still same symptoms scanned for code nothing posted in system code or EOBD no codes pending. Has anyone came across this problem before many thanks

Hello Simon,
You say you have scanned for codes, What about live data on your Verus ? before, during and after.

Hi Simon
Just had one of these mini's in for poor starting,no fault codes,but back leakage test on injectors revealed faulty injector.Hope this helps.

carried out leak off test on injector 3 were faulty sent away for recon ill let you know the result

Hi

Fitted recon injector fault gone and better throttle response so customer happy with performance but not the cost £135.00 + vat per injector
