Hi All
This vehicle came to me with poor performance,road tested & all seemed ok until i gave it wot & it ran on its own oil & clouds of smoke,was able to stop quickly, re started & nursed it to garage, dipped the oil to find it 3 inches up on the stick car has done 45k, one mature owner whom under interrogation has been topping the oil to that high level since ownership!!
Drained off, cleaned out pipes & intercooler, road tested all seemed good, but now it smokes on start up, is it common for injector seals to fail on these, valve stem seals?
Any ideas would be helpfull

Regarding the oil level - I had one of these where the tandem pump was leaking fuel into the engine where it joins to the cam. Smoked a lot whilst the oil was contaminated and for a bit after too.

Mark its blue smoke Generally from cold Matt, I've too had trouble with the dual pump,but this oil has definitely been topped up to the wrong level buy the customer,he showed me the marks hes been using also the oil doesn't smell diesel saturated,will have to get back to remove inter cooler hoses & re-check for contamination thanks for replies
