Nissan Navara (D22) 2.5 YD25DDTi 2002 - Code 71 ECU - Ongoing #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
Engine Size and Code *: 2.5 / YD25DDTi

Has anyone come across an fault code "71 ECU", it logs it occasionally when starting up and wont clear again until stopped - sometimes has hesitation when driving but most of the time it's ok just flashes MIL light ?

Hello John, code 71 should be "random miss-fire". can you scope cam vs crank?

Are the brake lights working?

I had an ECU code come up on one of these and it turned out to be the brake light switch faulty,

could explain your hesitation, thinking the brakes are applied?

Not managed to get vehicle back from customer yet - assume the fault cant be that bad !
