Peugeot 307 1.6 HDi 2006 - Glow plugs where are they, code P1351 #

Year of Manufacture *: 06
Engine Size and Code *: 1.6 hdi
( Optional ) Scanner Used: snap on and planet
( Optional) Fault Codes: p1351

Hi folks

I have a pug with code p1351.preheat relay open circuit and glow plugs not supplied.i have changed the relay as i had one on the shelf. No fix still codes the same,i suspected it would but relay easy to do. Looks like the glow plugs are faulty. Where the hell are they, I can't see them. I have looked under the air filter box and around the injectors. I am guessing they are under the air box in some bastard spot. I have heard they can break off in the head, any comments. I have a few doing this code so i may get good at this by the sounds

They are on the rear side of the head.

Why did you not test them at the relay?

As to your comment on them being a bastard, Yes they can be.

thanks for confirming at rear,i thought they had to be there but couldnt see them.i havnt check the glow plugs at relay as dont have wiring diagram so didnt want to bugger anything up by guessing which terminal does what.im doing more research to get diagram and take another look before i go pulling plugs out.any idea what time to do a set of plugs if they dont break off in head.

This info relates to a 1.6 hdi DV6TED4 FAP BOSCH EDC 16 C34 system. Hope you find it useful.

1376 - ECU GLOW PLUG COMMAND
1386 - RELAY UNIT DIAG INFO RETURN TO ECU

Peugeot book time looks like 3.40 hr to replace glow plugs !!

Have not done them on a 307 (yet) 407, yes, not too bad. Was pleasantly surprised to see there are much more accessible on a BMW Mini recently when I was expecting a nightmare.

hey thanks guys for response,bloody awesome information.i run auto data here and cant get that much good info.where can i get or buy that program.my struggle here in aus is getting reliable info,as soon as mention french they all go sorry pal no good.i spend more time on the net hunting info it seems than working on cars now.again many thanks to every one thats helped it makes a big difference.

ok thanks for that.i have joined service box but havnt found that much info.maybe ill have to look harder.i think they have a pay section where you buy info blocks,is that where the wiring came from.
