Hi
VIN WF0LXXTTFL4Y449642
This Transit had a second hand engine fitted including the fuel pump. I was asked to attend the vehicle to code the fuel pump.
After supplying the Ford agent with the correct out codes they sent me an in code which was rejected by the vehicle. I tried several times with the same result. The agent said that perhaps the 'new/secondhand' pump was not compatable.
The garage fitted the original pump for that vehicle and it still did not start. The difference now was the glow plug light has stopped flashing and the PATS light is now flashing. There is also a code in engine, PATS and in fuel pump of B2139 'Security messages do not match between PCM and PCU'
Before I go any further can anyone tell me what I may be missing? Could it be that trying with the new incode has locked out the vehicle and I need another incode for this pump? Even though the last one was rejected!
ON the screen that you get prior to the out code you are told 'The fuel injection pump will require security access to be granted by the PATS and FiP module: This will take 20 minutes' but there is no wait time and you just go straight into the out code page. Should I be waiting for a period of time at some point in the proccess?
Sorry for the long ramble, I just wanted to cover as much as possible.
