Vauxhall Vectra C 1.9 DT 2005 - Engine surging at 2500 rpm #

Year of Manufacture *: 2005
Engine Size and Code *: 1.9 DT Diesel

New EGR Valve fitted by car sales dealership - geniune part, less than month old.

If EGR is disconnected, vehicle runs perfectly but malfunction light stays on dash.

Have spoken to Vauxhall and they say there are no software updates for this vehicle.

No DTCS stored.

Has anybody encountered this problem?

No mention on how it runs with EGR connected,
Tech2 can run an EGR test. What scanner used ?
Swirl flaps ?

What are the Maf readings with and without the EGR connected?

Engine surges with EGR Valve connected and runs perfectly with it disconnected. Used Autodiagnos.

Will have to get vehicle back in, if it is a possibility that it is a Maf problem,to check Maf readings.

I wasn't suggesting the maf was the problem I thought it may be a good indication if exhaust gasses were causing your problem.
