Landrover Discovery 2 TD5 2001 - Surges under load #

Engine Size and Code *: 2495cc TD5 10P09766B
( Optional) Fault Codes: None present

Hi Guys,

Have the above car in which surges under load, no MIL, no faults present.

Suspect a fuel delivery issue, wondered if anyone has any specs please?

We have the specs from AD which are:

lift pump - 0.75bar - we have 1.1bar
delivery pump - 4.0bar - we have 3.1bar, which drops to 2.3bar under load (5th gear up a hill)
have not checked flow rate - anybody have a value?

Have scoped MAF - OK peaking at 4.6V

I'm all ears

Probably not connected, but had one in yesterday, felt like surge/misfire, but did log fault code for boost pressure sensor.

Turned out to be small pressure pipe from steel turbo pipe, to 'wastegate' solenoid, on N/S of engine.

May be worth a look, and my neighbour has one of these if you need any data checking.
