Kia Carrens 2.0 CRDi 2004 - Lack of power, code P1184 - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004
Engine Size and Code *: 2.0 D4EA
( Optional ) Scanner Used: snap on solus pro
( Optional) Fault Codes: p1184

Starts fine. Has very poor throttle response, changed fuel filter and flow to HP pump is good.
Will not rev over 4000 rpm and slow revving too this. On the road completely lacks power. I have no data on this vehicle at all. Can Anyone help.

Just for info, these are slow revving anyway, so this may not be part of the fault.
As for the fault code, is that oil temperature sensor? What was the live data like? Any relationship between engine temp/air temp/oil temp?

Paul,
If you check that fault code under Hyundai Santa fe,( same engine code ) there is a description there for it.It maybe of some help to you.

Fault sorted.
It turned out to be a faulty fuel temp sensor.
I read the data as a Hyundai as suggested, the fuel temp was showing 95, with it disconnected ran fine. Replaced sensor and housing. All good, customer said it has never ran as well...
