Ford Focus 1.6 G8DA 2006 - Turbo's keep melting the variable vanes #

Hi

All ideas welcome -this focus has been brought in after 3 turbos fitted, cam chain/cams & belt, new particulate filter, oh and injectors tested
the turbo keeps melting the variable vanes-only fault code is unable to do a regen and if i try a forced regen it melts the plastic in take pipe over turbo
theres no back pressure ? and no new fault codes

too high tempertaure.For which reason.DPF is trying regeneration.Is everything ok with the exhaust? maybe would remove the dpf for a start.
anyway I've got really bad experience with 1.6 hdi-I will never change the turbo on this crap engine-NEVER.even if someone would give me 3x normal labour charge .NOt worth the hassle.better to go and sweep the floor.

Is the exhaust temp. sensor reporting the correct temp?

I would have thought it would have abandoned the re-gen if temps. got too high.

engine doesnt over heat-only turbo (thoughts our exsecive fuel)but it runs ok /no back pressure???

re looked at turbo by pass and its melting from inside out - no blockage in air intake and not very little/none oil from breather pipe before turbo?

Hi james this might be a bit late , but does this car have throttle body as on some cars when regen is in operation the ecu will operate the throttle body to regulate the amount of air that is needed to control the the 650 degrees for non fuel additve or 450 degress with fuel additive particulate filter temp.If there is no regulation the filter will overheat apparantly 1000 degrees + . so i would check throttle body & smoke induction for any air leaks. Hi James, i have seem a similar problem on these before, and i believe there is a ford bulletin about it. If i remember correctly there is a problem with the oil feed up to the turbo, mounted in the bottom of the turbo feed pipe is a gauze which blocks up causing oil starvation to the turbo. Maybe wrong but worth a look. HTH
