Peugeot 307 1.6 HDi 110hp 2005 - Intermittent lag on acceleration #

Year of Manufacture *: 05
Engine Size and Code *: 1.6

Hi All

This is my own vehicle and im trying to get to the bottom of a running problem, no codes are stored but if you deaccelerate into a roundabout and drive out the over side you feel a real intermitant lag, i think its the egr it seems to be getting worse and looking at the archives there is a mention of a sensor on the turbo but might only be on the 2.0litre, any body have any ideas were to start or what to look for on live data

I've seen the same problem, always been the egr and got away with cleaning, but check and clean the manifold ports too.

what is the egr like to remove it looks a nightmare

looking at my egr valve its not vacuum operated it has 5 wires going to it it looks like i might have to bite the bullet and fit a new one

Be careful the egr valves are not that nice a job on these and this is the engine which has a wastegate position sensor try blanking egr first to see if it improves

does it matter which end is blocked off it would easier at inlet manifold end
