Volvo S80 2007 2.4 d5 - Wideband lambda sensor, how it should work #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007
Engine Size and Code *: 2.4 d5
( Optional) Fault Codes: lambda sensor

Hi

Due in, we have got volvo s80 d5 for dpf removal work. I have been working on the car and I'm looking for an information on diesel lambda sensor work

Any info much appreciated.

Hi Pete,

The 02 sensor is mainly used to fine tune the EGR system on a Diesel engine.

Whats your problem with it and the DPF issue?

hello Mark
as I said I need advance common rail training.Well
dpf need to be removed -this is one.But I started thinking how the lambda should work on diesel?Whem , how much etc. many thanks

I read this message and it is completely messy.What I'm looking for any info of operation lamba sensor. What values , when it start to work- how quickly after engine start? Any info much appreciated.

The operating principle is exactly the same as the petrol sensor and its job(to measure the 02)is the same.

Now just join the dots and work out what gain this would be to the modern diesel engine management system.
