Peugeot 206 1.9 DW8 WJY 2001 - Code P1145 injector sensor #

Year of Manufacture *: 2001
Engine Size and Code *: 1900 dw8 wjy
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Snap on modis
( Optional) Fault Codes: P1145

Hi all can any one confirm which cylinder the injector with the needle lifts sensor should be fitted to currently in cylinder 1 ( closest to gearbox ) but a friend seems to think this could be wrong an thinks it could b cylinder 2

Have you looked on Auto-data, Tolerance, Vivid or ESI ?

hi there thanks for the reply nothing on our auto data about which cylinder it fits too had a friend check his vivid an apparently nothing, unfortunatly dont have access to esi.
The car has a terrible knock i would descibe as a timing issue and permantly displays a p1146 inector needle lift sensor despite correct waveform back to ecu same for crank signal and timing solonoid leading me to question if someone has removed it and refitted in wrong cylinder .
I have since tried it in cylinder 2 but still the same

It is on AD (have not even checked any of the other,s but would bet it,s there)
On AD open component location,s for the correct engine, then engine management, -2001 and check where 13 is.

Lee,
Injector with needle lift sensor is normally fitted to no.3 cylinder,or 2 counting from gearbox end.I think you should have a 15 ohm resistance ( approx ) across contacts,( could be wrong with resistance as its a while since I replaced one )Christy.

Hi Lee,
I think these can go open circuit at different temperatures giving an intermittent knock.

PS. I have not checked any data but looked at one a couple of days ago with an EGR fault and could have sworn that it was in the cylinder nearest to the gearbox (No4 to me).

Your right Kevin thanks it does show it on comonent locations as being in-between cyl 1-2 but more closer to 2 which led me to wonder if it was in the wrong cylinder (cyl 1) although changing its location made little difference I was hoping someone may have had some definate info, thanks guys I'm off for a few days so I'll check your suggestions when am back in thanks lee

Just my thoughts,

The injector is longer than the others, so unless the pipe has been messed with it should be almost impossible to put it in the wrong cylinder.
