Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 DT 2002 -Fitted 2nd hand engine, code P0100 - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
Engine Size and Code *: 2.0
( Optional ) Scanner Used: LAUNCH
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0100

WE HAVE FITTED A SUPPLIED 2ND HAND ENGINE BUT CAR WILL NOT PULL OVER 2,000 RPM FAULT CODE P0100 STORED WILL CLEAR BUT ON START UP CODE RE APPEARS,CHECK AIR FLOW METER,SMOKED ALL PIPES ETC,CLEANED EGR VALVE AND SEEMS TO BE WORKING,CHECKED ALL WIRING ALL SEEMS OK,BUT AIR FLOW METER SEEMS TO BE RUNNING AT 0.2V?
AS ANYBODY HAD THIS,ALL FUSES AND EARTHS SEEM OK.

I believe there are a few definitions of the p0100 code depending on what scanner you are using, high input, low input. If yours measures 0.2 v then i suspect it would be low input. So, nackered MAF maybe, or unmetered air bypassing Maf.
Have you confirmed the MAF with a scope??

have looked at the link with multi plug discounected ignition on on terminals 2 and 3 im getting 12v,but on terminals 3 and 4 getting only 0.02 volts and reading link should be getting 4.8 volts so i have a starting point.
any more info though would be great.low in put im using a launch fault code reader and a new bosch air flow meter as been fitted,as i said done smoke test with no leaks

As it's a replacement engine, it doesn't have a rag stuffed inside one of the intake pipes does it ?
