Year of Manufacture *: 2009 Engine Size and Code *: 1.9 Z19DTH ( Optional ) Scanner Used: Autocom ( Optional) Fault Codes: P2075 Swirl level sensor low votage
Hi folks,
Vehicle was presented with above code, we removed the swirl flap actuator motor and scoped the feedback sensor and found no voltage output while operating the motor. I was pretty confident that a new motor would fix the problem and fitted a new one. Vehicle was OK for a week and the MIL has come back on with the same fault code. I checked live data and can see the swirl flap sensor working OK, due to it's position it's impossible to back-probe without removing (not easy!) Any ideas anyone?
Mark.

Is this not still on manufacturer warranty as it's a 2009? The last one of these we had giving all sorts of spurious readings for the swirl flap was because they were so badly gummed up.

I've ran an actuator test until I was blue in the face, it never stuck once, I checked the position sensor via live data on the road and found no problems. After an extensive road test no fault re-occurred so I'm giving it back to the owner to try out, the vehicle has only covered 24,000 miles; I'm of the opinion that diesels have now lost one of their primary attractions "reliability"! I'll stick to my motorbike!
