Hi All
car came in for smoke problem needed new engine.fitted good s/h engine ran on ramp for couple of hours to make sure no leaks. Took it for mot got about 6 miles when heard a diesel timing type of noise below 2000rpm. Had to stop for a car and the engine stalled. Would not restart. Called for recovery waited 40minutes, I turned key and it started i drove on to recovery truck. Now it will only run with cam sensor disconnected and shows no faults when the cam is connected but wont start.
Checked timing chains scoped ckp and cam and timing is the same as other Xtrail. If you start it then connect cam sensor it stops.i have the pico files.
Any ideas
