Ford Transit 2.4 TDCi 2005 - Fuse-able link location? #

Year of Manufacture *: 55 plate
Engine Size and Code *: 2.4tdci

Hi

Can any one tell me were the fusible engine link is ive got to do a clutch on this Monday and the fuse has blown as the driver tried to start it in gear is it on the battery some were its supposed to be a 350 amp fuse thanks

Hi

Built in to the battery earth wire under the driver seat.

Hi Paul. I am sure you are aware about the dual mass breaking up. This is the number one cause of this fuse link on earth wire blowing.

I would check starter motor as well, because when dualmass fails small bits of metal jam starter this can also result in fuse-able link blowing.

the dual mass had not failed the clutch had failed and the driver was starting it in gear to get moving but i replaced clutch and fly wheel thanks paul
