Toyota Hilux 2.5 4x4 2002 - Does ECU need coding if replaced #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
Engine Size and Code *: 2.5

Hi

Can anybody tell me if you need to code engine ecu if replaced, and if so, can it only be done with dealer tool?

I don't know details, but it would at very least need to be matched to the immobiliser/keys.
