Can any one help with this. another garage has filled the add tank which was empty and jet washed the filter as the dealers do. Asked me to reset counters which i have now done several times with peug planet first then autodiagnos and launch. However i keep getting the same codes returning in engine. P1435 returns on start up this code is a remote code from the add control unit I assume, and has six definitions and all six are reported but there are no codes in the add controller. There is one for the cap sensor for example and one for the pump both of wich work. There are two other codes P1442 and P1446, additive system malfunction and additive level low. I have tried unpluging the additive control unit and the engine ecu for a while. Have i missed somthing in the reset as it is not very clear on this car, on a c5 last week there was a clear procedure to reset two counters, fluid in tank and addative deposited in filter.
Thanks kevin. I did do lots of reading before I asked on this and other forums. I will look again. The cap present/absent works on live data in the additive unit, The pump also runs sometimes when the cap is replaced, but the code is there for both faults. and another 4 reasons for the same code it cant have all these faults so it may be a faulty control unit.
