Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi 2008 - Lack of power after repair, no codes #

Year of Manufacture *: 2008
Engine Size and Code *: 1.4 tdci
( Optional ) Scanner Used: kts
( Optional) Fault Codes: no fault codes

Replaced the copper sealing washer at the bottom of injectors (leaking compression gas) now engine will not pull the skin off a rice pudding. Suspect fault may be one of the injectors, has anyone come across this problem, do you know where I can have them tested (siemens injectors) they have been put back to the cylinder removed from but I dont think there coded anyway, also believe Ford may have special bulliten but cant get hold of any info. no fault codesin system

not that uncommon, think your injector has died when disturbed, have heard it said that when they are refitted people overtighten the clamps, distorts the injector & that causes the damage,
not had it myself but have read of it happening a few times

ford recommend new bolts & there is a torque setting for tightening injectors back down,but surely it is obvious if its misfiring on a cylinder?when i had a injector failure it logged a code instantly on autodiagnos which told me the exact injector at fault.

we can test and repair this type of injector with this fault, we have them in stock.

Did you clean the injector nozzles? when we done some a few weeks ago , the diesel part supplier warned me NOT to go any where near the nozzles as this can cause this problem.

yes John is right .Did you try to clean the nozzles? If yes new set of injectors . We did have this problem few monts ago.

Care in cleaning diesel injector nozzels has not changed from day 1.
Knowledge is a great help and the only way to gain knowledge is with courses and lots of experience with people who know.

But even if you have attempted to clean the nozzles we can test and repair them.

How does one attempt to clean an injector nozzle of any type?

Apart from an ultrasonic method, surely any process where physical contact takes place, will mess with the finely engineered component.

We aren't just discussing the need to avoid a wire brush are we?

I would think your spot on dave if you wire brush the tip of the nozzel its scrap and needs replaced.
