Year of Manufacture *: 2007 Engine Size and Code *: 2.2 tdci ( Optional ) Scanner Used: Dec Scan / Bosch KTS
Hi all Got the above vehicle with erratic idle, fault coded but no fault codes. Looked in live data and the fuel pressure fluctuates between 250 bar to 320 bar. Renewed fuel filter and checked for fuel contamination all o.k. I decided to renew the fuel pressure regulator, i need to know if the adaptions need resetting for the regulator. On the dec scan there is a function for it but it wont perform it properly.
Hi jamie I have seen a few of these new gen transits now with this fault and there is a software update for this issue but ihave also done the pressure regulator and relief valve (screwed into the end of the rail) for same fault but never required to adapt the new one Regards Carl
Had this fault on a Peugeot Boxer - same engine - and, as you say, the DEC high pressure pump replacement routine doesn't look like it's working. But, if you then try the same with KTS it throws a code for HP pump not calibrated correctly. When I then tried again with the DEC this code disappeared which makes me think it is actually working although it throws up an error message at the end.
