Range Rover Sport 2.7D 2007 - Code P0450 EGR Fault #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007
Engine Size and Code *: 2700
( Optional) Fault Codes: P045D

Engine light on lack of power, comes up egr fault. The throttle body has been chaged. If fault cleared it runs ok but does come back in, suspect its the egr on both banks they look a pig to change has any body got a idea how long it takes and what is involed, as with every thing at the moment the customer wants a quote, so need to know what might involed thanks

Done a few of these now and they are not as bad as they look if you take out the inner wing and all plastic engine bay covers last one I did charged 1.5 hours per side might sound steep but a couple of the bolts are a pain if really tight.

I have done quite alot of these myself, like Carl says when you get the plastics out of the way there not to bad, take the whole valve off with the egr cooler still connected and split on bench.

The earlier cars didnt bring the man. light on even though there would be egr related codes present , you can buy £15 blanking plates that you could just slip under the pipes that go to the throttle body housing 15 min job each side.

i can only pressume the later vehicles must be looking for the egr "sweep" or air mass difference when egr activated ,if its not seen flags man. light on .
