Mercedes Benz CDi 2.7 2003 - Will not rev over 3000 rmp, code P0100 air mass volts low #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003
Engine Size and Code *: 2700
( Optional ) ECU Type: edc15c6
( Optional ) Scanner Used: kts
( Optional) Fault Codes: po100 air mass volts low

Will not rev over 3000 rpm difficult to start from cold The fault code will not clear static fault previous garage fitted new air mass meter and stopped there. I have checked supply and earth all good also continuity back to ecu all good still no ref volts out of air mass and no reading on live data from ecu I have removed and cleaned out egr valve and no blockage in pipe I have tried another air mass meter and i have cut the ref wire at the plug in case signal being corrupted still no ref volts Ecu sent away for bench testing all good Whats strange no mil light on My question is what else on the car system car effect the output voltage

i would concentrate on the 'hard to start' first, did u check the rail pressure, injector back leak ? Pressure should be about 250 / 300 bar. The dogs in the street are fitting air mass meters at every opportunity, how could an air mass meter cause 'hard to start cold'?

rail pressure if it's too low check seals on fuel line from filter into the pump

When you say "no output" do you mean 0 volts? I take it you are checking output with a scope, is there any output while cranking?
The only way that you will have no output if ground, feed, and continuity is OK is if you have a short circuit, disconnect ECU and AMM and check for short to earth.
