Land Rover Defender 2.4 DT 2007 - Non-starter #
Posted by Peter Rainsley on December 14, 2010, 8:42 pm At first attempt engine cranks and fires briefly. Then it might crank briefly and not fire. Then it won't crank. Leave it for ten minutes and it does the same. Starter solenoid can be hot wired and it cranks fine, but doesn't fire. I've got as far as the starter relay under the driver's seat and note that the earth wire (black/orange) rapidly goes open circuit, hence the no crank. Autodata and Vivid don't cover this Transit in gum boots, so can any one please help me with a wiring diagram. I am wary of hard wiring the earth, suspecting it is ecu controlled,
