Vauxhall Vectra B 2.0D 2000 - Long time to start in morning #

Year of Manufacture *: 2000
Engine Size and Code *: 2 L deisel turbo
( Optional ) Scanner Used: solous pro
( Optional) Fault Codes: no codes

starts straight away cuts straight out turns over for a long time then starts if lucky with a lot of smoke then runs fantastic all day till left for a few hours then same again.have replaced filter housing leak off pipes injector seals even known good injectors i had lying around allready has one way vaulve fitted in fuel line.where next?

|t Does sound like air ingress, have you tested system with Vac pump ?.

may be worth just plugging the leak off pipe at the pump temporary just to double check.

could you explain how you do this test I have zafira with the same fault.

The common problems on the vauxhall engine are the leak off pipes or the leak Off seals on top of the injectors. disconnect the leak off return pipe and use a hand vac pump to check the leak off system holds a good vacuum. If it is the injector top seal you may see evidence of engine oil in the pipe.

If that's OK you will have to check pipe work and filter housing.

ok thanks for advice . I know there is a problem woth these leak off pipes-oil in the fuel filter. But been wondering about technic to test them -once again thanks a lot Regards

Done a few of these.... Check the colour of the fuel, if it is black the seal between the injector top and the leak off inside the rocker cover needs looking at.
