Vehicle has only done around 35000 miles and regularly flags fault P0638 throttle actuator control.
Pedal has been scoped several times. one of the resistive tracks can be seen dipping momentarily every full sweep of pedal and at wide open throttle. a new pedal has been fitted but the trace is still the same. once an egr fault was logged and the main dealer says these are commonly failing. i have mityvacced egr diaphragm which holds vac ok latest twist to this fault vehicle cut out would not restart until left for 20 mins any suggestions where to look next please?
Hi John. If the fault code and description are correct, Why has the Throttle pedal been Scoped. ? The Code says Throttle Actuator Not Throttle Pedal. ??? Has this vehicle got a throttle Actuator. ??
